I am a neurospicy mother with a neurodivergent family, surfing the swells of parenting struggle and ease. I didn't make this connection until late in life, when my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD, and I could see the reflection in myself and her siblings. We are all different, and neurodivergence is just that- a difference- although it can be a big one. When one or more family members have ADHD, autism, HSP, sensory processing disorder and beyond, it can add a juicy layer of complexity to family dynamics.

Pregnancy, postpartum and parenting shine a spotlight on those nuances and lift them to the surface, influencing how we feel about ourselves as partners, parents and people. Over time I learned that I was not alone, and that many women experience increased anxiety, depression, exhaustion and loss of confidence while masking or hiding their parenting distress. Thankfully, it's totally "normal" for good moms to feel a wide range of emotions at all stages of motherhood!

you are more than your thoughts

experience a PMHD...

... PMHDs (perinatal mental health disorders) are the #1 complication following childbirth.

Mother Holding Baby

PMHDs appear
in a variety of ways...

... depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, substance use and rage being a few common presentations.

here we honor what makes you special

Unlike talk therapy or medication alone, yoga therapy offers a full-person approach that respects your strengths and sensitivities, helping your nervous system relate more skillfully to stress and other external input. Whether you identify as a neurotypical or neurodifferent mom, everyday moments can flash into feelings of overwhelm and intensity. Whatever follows, know that you don't need to feel trapped inside your reactions or regrets. The way out is through, and I share with you research-based tools as well as what I've found to be incredibly helpful in real life.

Women with ADHD are more likely to be diagnosed later in life...

... sometimes DECADES after symptoms first appear, and are more likely to be misdiagnosed as anxious, depressed or perfectionistic.

Sad

ADHD often manifests differently for women...

... as women are prone to experience emotional dysregulation, internalized symptoms and executive functioning challenges.
